Background
A refined blend of 70% Old Vine Zinfandel, 24% Petite Syrah and 6% Petite Verdot, all from the Lodi Region of the San Joaquin Valley. The grapes were crushed mid-September of 2016 and aged in French, American, and Hungarian oak barrels for 9 months. Bottling occurred in late August of 2017.
Taste
This wine greets you with rich full upfront berry fruit in the nose, full dark berry palate (middle), and the finish is long with oak, berry and vanilla that lingers and never seems to end. The 2016 vintage is truly a decadent glass of perfection.
